How to Pick Lucky Lottery Numbers for the Aussie Superdraw

How to Pick Lucky Lottery Numbers?

The last Australian Superdraw of the year is approaching fast.

On Dec 31st, Australian Lotto 6/45 will have a special jackpot worth a magnificent A$31 MILLION!

With such a life-changing prize up for grabs, getting those lottery numbers right has never been more important.

So have a quick look through LottoExpress’s list of the 5 most common ways of picking lottery numbers and decide which one is perfect for you!

1. Play Hot Numbers

According to the frequency theory, certain numbers are believed to have a better chance of being drawn than others.

These “hot” numbers are ones that have shown up frequently in past draws. So it stands to reason that these numbers are likely to show up again, leading to a higher chance of winning.

The two most commonly drawn or hot numbers in the Australian Superdraw between 2006 and 2014 were 21 and 1. These were drawn a lucky 14 and 13 times, respectively.

Other hot numbers include: 2, 5, 7, 23, 27, 30, 32, 40

2. Play Cold Numbers

“Cold” numbers are less common and barely showed up in previous draws.

This theory is based on the law of averages which states that all numbers have an equal chance of being drawn – and that the longer a specific number hasn’t been drawn, the more likely it is that it will show up next time.

The top two cold numbers in the Australian Superdraw held between 2006 and 2014 are 18 and 28. Both have only shown up three times!

Other cold numbers include: 20, 24, 36, 37

3. Play Hot & Cold Numbers

If you enjoy lotto strategy but can’t decide on which number theory feels right for you, why not mix it up?

Shortlist some “hot” and “cold” numbers and play both, to improve your chances of winning.

4. Play Quick Picks

If you don’t fancy the hassle of number-picking, consider letting the computer do all the work for you.

Quick Picks are randomly generated numbers that assign your lottery numbers for you. A majority of lottery players prefer this quick, stress-free option for a couple of reasons.

For one, Quick Picks tend to cover the less commonly used numbers in each lottery’s number pool (the full spread of numbers available to pick from).

There have also been a  few convincing stats linking Quick Picks and jackpot winners.  For instance, according to the US Powerball website, between 70-80% of winning lottery tickets sold are quick picks.

 5. Play Your Personal Lucky Numbers

Finally, the classic option: playing your own lucky numbers.

Lot of lotto players prefer playing numbers that have personal significance to them and there are both pros and cons to this method.

One downside is that most people’s lucky numbers are often birthdays, anniversaries, and other important calendar dates. (In other words, numbers between 1 and 31.) But for all major lotteries, the number matrix extends well beyond 31, meaning a whole range of numbers is left out.

But on the other hand, some lottery observers insist that you should pick your own lottery numbers, because there is a good chance that quick pick systems assign commonly used numbers.

Everyone likes to dream about what they’d spend their newfound money on when they win the lottery. Usually the first things that come to mind are big houses, luxury cars, and expensive, endless vacations.

If someone asked me though, I think one of the first things I’d do would be to hire a personal chef.

Think about it: not only do you never have to be stuck wondering what to eat, but you have someone who makes meals exactly how you like it!

When it came to cooking for the King, Jackson’s personal chef in the 80s (named Mani Niall) recalls how difficult that task could often be.

Niall claimed that although Jackson was “vegetarian”, he “didn’t like vegetables”. This proved quite a challenge!

Eventually, Niall found the perfect cuisine: Mexican food. Dishes like spicy enchiladas became a fixture and the table. Jackson also loved tofu kebabs with Couscous and Moroccan Sauce!

The First Couple were particularly fond of Tex-Mex, a type of cooking created in their native Texas. Their preferred Sunday meal was Huevos Rancheros (eggs and hot salsa on a tortilla).

But W.’s favorite guilty pleasure? Cheeseburger pizza.

According to White House chef Cristeta Comerford, this unusual dish consisted of a margarita pizza with ground beef, mustard, ketchup, and even sliced pickles on top –all the ingredients of a cheeseburger!

1. Picnic inside a monster’s mouth

You read that right.

If you visit the Garden of Bomarzo, there’s a ‘Park of Monsters’ you can explore. It’s filled with strange, bizarre sculptures like a monstrous fish head or a giant tearing another giant apart – all designed to shock visitors.

But perhaps the strangest piece is an enormous head, with its mouth open wide in a scream. You can actually enter this “mouth of hell”, where you’ll find a picnic table, ideal for small groups!

3. Walk in rooms made of human bones

Room after room in the crypts of Santa Maria della Concezione are intricately decorated – with human bones.

There’s a crypt decorated entirely from leg bones, one with skulls, and another with pelvises. In some crypts, even the hanging light fixtures are made from human bones.

The remains are of the Capuchin friars, who instead of burying their fellow friars, decorated the walls of the crypts as a reminder that death can come at any time, and that one should always be prepared to meet God.

4. Catch a glimpse of Plague Island

A few miles away from Venice, lies a tiny, deserted island that was used as a plaque guaranteed station between 1793 – 1814. It once hosted over 160,000 infected people and it is rumored that 50% of the island’s soil consists of human remains.

It is also said that Napolean used the island at one point to store weapons. Finally, to add more gore to its dark history, a mental hospital opened on the island in 1922, and local legend claims that one of the doctors at the hospital would conduct torturous experiments on the patients.

While visitors are forbidden to set foot on this island, if you’re sailing along the Grand Canal, try and catch a glimpse of this dark – and possibly haunted – island.

5. Decipher a secret recipe on a ‘magic’ door

According to legend, in 1660s, the Marquis Palombara met an alchemist at a dinner party who told him he had discovered the herb to turn metals into gold.

He vanished in the morning, however, leaving behind a “recipe” for the transformation along with flakes of gold.

As the Marquis was unable to decipher the writing, he had it inscribed on his door – hoping that someone who could understand it would see it and come knocking.

This gate is the only thing that still stands today – and you can go right up to it. When you do, see if you can spot the mysterious symbol carved above its doorway!

The Lottery You Should Play, According to Your Star Sign!

Let the stars decide: Find out which lottery is right for you, based on your star sign!

Astrology, horoscopes, star signs….We’re all familiar with the notion that the planets can have an influence on our personality.

Many even use their horoscopes for making decisions about their future, finances, and even their love life.

But what about the lottery?

If you’ve ever wondered which lottery is perfect for you according to your star sign, LottoExpress has got you covered!

Here’s how to pick the right lottery for you, based on your star sign:

lottery and horoscopeARIES (March 21 – April 19)

As a fire sign, energetic Aries is always on the go. One of the most active zodiac signs, it’s in their nature to take action, sometimes without thinking it through. People born under the Taurus sign are usually very practical, responsible and dependable. They can also be extremely stubborn, which often comes in handy when it comes to seeing things through! You can always count on a Taurus to be the voice of reason in any moment of chaos or disorder. Many also have a fine appreciation for beauty and material pleasures.

Australian Lotto 6/45 is a practical option for the Taurus lotto player. With the best odds of winning the jackpot and being 42% easier to win than other 6/49 lotteries, this weekly lotto is as reliable as it comes – a perfect match for the most reliable sign in the zodiac!

Australian Powerball is the perfect lotto for this dual-natured sign. Inspired by American Powerball, this Australian lotto offers huge prize payouts like its American counterpart but with the bonus of Australian tax-free winnings!

Deeply intuitive, loyal and sympathetic, it’s not always easy to figure out a Cancer sign. With the moon as their ruling planet, Cancers can often be sensitive and prone to mood swings. Strong family ties and a tranquil home life are important to most Cancers and they are always ready to lend a helping hand.

Canadian Lotto 6/45 is a great choice of lottery for a Cancer. Much like this often-misunderstood sign, Canada’s largest lotto is sometimes lost in the shadow of  American classics like Mega Millions and Powerball. However, with overall odds of 1 in 6 and annual payouts of over CAD$905 million, it’s definitely a lotto to keep an eye on!

Irish Lotto 6/45, with its superior stats, is probably the only lotto analytic Virgo would enjoy!  Thanks to its impressive overall odds of 1 in 29, as well as the fact that it is 76% easier to win than other 6/49s lottos due to its small number pool – Irish Lotto is known as one of the most winnable lottos around.

They are sometimes pegged as aloof and uncompromising, but that’s because they know exactly what they want!

Australian Oz Lotto is the perfect lottery for this Air sign. With the largest jackpot on record in Australia, 2 bonus numbers that offer additional chances to win, and better jackpot odds than most 6/49 lottos, it’s clear to see why the analytic Aquarius-born would go for this Aussie lotto!

6 Simple Ways to Increase Your Lottery Winning Chances

How to multiply my chances of winning the lottery?

LottoExpress shares exclusive tactics to improve your chances of winning the lottery!

“Is there a sure-fire secret to winning the lottery?”

In a word?

No.

There isn’t any “sure-fire” or foolproof way to win the lottery, despite all the claims out there. When it comes down to it, the lottery is a game of chance.

However, there are a number of tactics that CAN help you increase the likelihood of a lottery win.

Here are 6 simple things you can do to boost your chances of winning!

1. PLAY

This one’s a bit obvious but it’s worth stating: the first step towards winning the lottery is to play.

As the lottery is a game of chance, playing – and playing regularly – will improve your chances of winning. Most lotteries have draws once or twice a week. Pick a favourite, decide the number of draws you want to go for, and try your luck!

If you don’t fancy the notion of playing the lottery weekly or bi-weekly, here’s another strategy to try. When you do play the lottery, buy more tickets. This will improve your chances of winning for that particular draw. Many people go this route – buying multiple tickets when the jackpots are extremely high.

2. USE QUICK PICKS

Another tactic is to use Quick Picks when selecting numbers.

When you use Quick Picks, computer-generated numbers are chosen for you at random.

Studies show that people who pick their own numbers, often select them based on days of the month (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.) This means that numbers over 31 are often neglected. Experts claim that by using Quick Picks, the numbers assigned to you are more likely to include those higher digits more effectively.

Plus, according to the Powerball website, 70 to 80% of lottery winners were Quick Picks!

6 simple ways to improve chances of winning the lottery

3. FORM A LOTTERY SYNDICATE

Forming a lottery syndicate is by far one of the most common tactics employed by lottery players.

Basically, you multiply your chances of winning by pooling your money with your mates, colleagues or family to buy a large number of tickets for a specific lottery draw.

This way, you have a share in a large number of tickets, at an affordable price. This tactic has seen quite a bit of success as some of the largest jackpots have been won by syndicates.

However, keep in mind that if you win as part of a syndicate, your winnings will be shared among the group.

4PICK THE MOST COMMONLY DRAWN NUMBERS

Veteran lottery players will often talk about ‘Frequency Theory’ or ‘Hot Numbers’.

Simply put, certain numbers are believed to have a better chance of being drawn than others. To boost your winning chances, simply make sure you have a couple of these numbers in your ticket!

If you look at number frequency stats for specific lotteries, you’ll see this is true: some numbers DO show up more frequently than others.

For instance, the top 5 numbers that most commonly show up for the US Powerball are: 26, 22, 16, 41 and 35!

5. TRY LOTTERY WHEELING SYSTEMS

Out of all the tactics employed, lottery wheeling systems may be the most complicated, but they are known for improving your odds significantly.

Simply put, wheeling systems are a technique that lets you play every possible combination for your selected range of numbers. By doing so, players are often guaranteed a win! There’s a lot of information out there on lottery wheeling systems, so if you decide to go this route, do some research first!

6. LASTLY, CHOOSE YOUR LOTTERIES WISELY!

Some lotteries have better odds of winning than others – that’s just a fact.

While this does not guarantee a win, it does mean that you have more chances of winning a prize playing these lotteries than others!

For instance, the Australian Lotto 6/45 has the best odds of winning the jackpot.

Irish Lotto has great overall odds of 1 in 29 and it’s also 76% easier to win than the UK National Lottery.

Thanks to online lottery websites like LottoExpress, you now have the opportunity to choose and select the lotteries with the best odds from around the world!

You can also enter multiple draws with a few simple clicks, instead of physically having to go outside and purchase a ticket!

Now that you’re armed with these 6 simple tactics of improving your odds, go and try them out!

Who knows, one of these tips might just land you the ultimate prize…
